General positioning or row-crop guidance to within 1
inch. CornerPost's unique RTK guidance
system can increase the position accuracy over the DGPS
signal alone by factoring in a correction calculation
from a second CornerPost receiver broadcasting data
from a known, fixed postion.
The Satloc CornerPost receiver provides precise positioning
for many applications, and row spacing guidance to within
1 inch between each pass. |
CornerPost consists of a base and rover receiver and
accompanying GPS antennas. Each base and rover receiver
consists of:
- 12-channel GPS engine
- WAAS receiver
- 900 MHz modem data radio
Use CornerPost with Satloc’s LiteStar II, SwathStar
M3, and many other manufacturers’ components.
How
It Works
CornerPost uses Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS. In RTK,
two GPS receivers exchange information and fine-tune
positions. One of the receivers has a known, fixed position
- the Base receiver. The other receiver may be
in an unknown position - the Rover receiver. The
Base receiver broadcasts GPS correction data from its
stationary location to a moving Rover receiver. The
Rover receiver uses these corrections to improve its
overall accuracy to less than 1 inch.
Features
& Benefits
- Precise positioning and row-crop
guidance - CornerPost provides position
accuracy to within 1 inch, and so is ideal for use
with row crops.
- Low-cost, integrated design
- CornerPost RTK is a portable, affordable solution
for high-precision applications, such as row crop
farming.
- Simple setup and operation
- select a high area with an unobstructed view of
the sky and within a 2 - 5 mile, line-of-sight
radius of the field to install the Base antenna. Attach
the rover receiver to your vehicle. Start up the receivers
from a stationary position. If both GPS antennas are
in a saved location, start-up time is less than 1
minute; if not, start-up may take 5 minutes for the
Base and 15 minutes for the Rover to initialize the
signal. You’re ready to go!
- Ruggedized and reliable -
dust, water, vibration, and shock resistant. The radio
provides superior interference rejection by hopping
from one frequency to another and features a 3-mile
line of site operating range.
