| The BaseOne™ digital fixed-base wireless telephone
is a powerful three-watt, dual-mode (800 MHz/TDMA digital
and AMPS analog frequencies) product that, by rivaling
the signal strength and voice quality of landline phones,
is bringing the convenience and affordability of wireless
into the home.
It enables wireless carriers to provide even more comprehensive
service to their customers - especially during evenings
and weekends, when consumers are traditionally more
likely to use their home landline phones rather than
cellular.
The BaseOne
is "fixed" because it connects to standard
AC wall outlets rather than to portable batteries, but
"wireless" because it relies on cellular rather
than landline networks. Its three-watt power capability
gives BaseOne users better signal range and voice quality
than what is possible with 0.6-watt alternatives.
The BaseOne™ features 832 channels,
PIN security to lock and unlock the phone, an 11-digit
display and built-in monitor capability. It also has
89 memory locations, 16 alpha and 32 numeric digits
per location, on-hook dialing capability, one-touch
dialing and programmable one-touch emergency dialing.
The BaseOne uses standard AC power but features 30 minutes
of emergency backup battery power.
CSI Wireless also manufactures a
Motorola-branded version (the Motorola FX800t) that
is marketed exclusively through Brightstar
Corporation.
